Server Job Summary
A server is responsible for serving food, presenting wine, making food and beverage suggestions, and clearing tables for Members of the country club. A server at Kemper Lakes is also responsible for adding to the Member Experience.
Job Tasks (Additional Responsibilities)
- Take orders and serve food in specified manner
- Provide immediate attention to all Members and guests upon arrival
- Perform related dining room set-up tasks
- Pour and refill wine, coffee, water and/or other beverages
- Clear dishes as needed
- Clean all assigned work areas in the dining room and wait station
- Advise supervisor of any member/guest complaints as soon as they occur
- Assist in closing functions by performing various tasks such as removing linen, bussing glasses, dishes, silverware, etc. and re-setting the room if needed
- Comply with all dress code and Club policies
- Other tasks as assigned
Qalifications
- BASSET Certified (or able to obtain certification)
- Food Safety Handler Certificate (or able to obtain certification)
- Age requirement: 21+
- Food, Alcohol and Wine knowledge a plus
- Upscale dining experience a plus
Shedule / Hours
- Tuesday - Sunday with other occasional shift opportunities. This is a part time job
- Weekend hours are required
- Evening hours are required
- Holiday hours are required
- Breakfast Shifts are required
- Schedule is subject to change based on club events and hours of operations

Line Cook Job Summary
Kemper Lakes Golf Club is looking for professional line cooks to prepare food to the exact chef's specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our Member satisfaction and acquisition goals
Job Tasks (Additional Responsibilities)
- Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef's instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and Members
Qualifications
- Food Safety Handler Certificate (or able to obtain certification)
- Experience in Upscale Dining Establishments a plus
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
- Familiar with industry's best practices
